App · iOS, iPadOS & Android

PartySpot

The app for nights that matter. PartySpot turns every private celebration into a shared experience: guests join via QR code without an account, suggest songs and decide by voting — playback runs through the host's Spotify or Apple Music. All photos and videos land in one shared gallery.

Available in both stores since July 2026, with guest list, bring list, schedule, chat, an iPad dashboard and a music-synced recap — app, cloud backend and marketing website all from one hand.

EQ-Studio

Customers, tests and results in one place — on phone and desktop. EQ-Studio is a SaaS web app for EQ partners who look after omega-3 blood tests: photograph the test card, the test ID is read via OCR, and results arrive from the lab automatically.

Automated correspondence with templates and scheduling rules, digital GDPR consent with a PDF record, CSV import, PDF reports and twelve languages. Built with Vue 3 and Firebase, subscriptions via Stripe, backed by automated tests.

Automation · iOS Shortcut

EQ-Tracker

EQ-Tracker digitises and automates the documentation of omega-3 blood tests for EQOLOGY™ business partners. Instead of paper and spreadsheets, an iOS Shortcut records every test, logs it cleanly and automatically reminds you of result dates and due follow-ups — via the built-in Reminders app.

Deliberately without an App Store install: download and run, iOS 14 and later. The little sibling of EQ-Studio — and an example of how even a lean automation can take over an entire workflow.

Dancide home screen: tap and hold to listen Dancide result: salsa with a 98% match at 98 BPM
App · In development

Dancide

Dancide listens and tells you what to dance: hold the button, capture three seconds of music — the app determines the tempo (BPM), classifies the genre with on-device AI and suggests a matching dance such as salsa, tango or Viennese waltz.

Flutter app for iOS and Android with a TensorFlow Lite model and native BPM analysis, backed by a Python pipeline that prepares the training data.

SmartCull on iPad: scoring matrix with sharpness, exposure, contrast and total score per photo
App · macOS & iOS · In development

SmartCull

SmartCull weeds out weak photos from an Apple Photos album — so the photo book is made from the best shots only. Each photo is scored on up to eleven criteria: sharpness, exposure, contrast, eyes open, horizon, best of burst and more.

Weights and thresholds are adjustable, and results are written back to Apple Photos as rating albums. All analysis runs entirely on the device — no cloud, and nothing is ever deleted.

3D render of the three stacked SwitchStack circuit boards with the ESP32-S3 module
Embedded · ESP32-S3 · Prototype

SwitchStack

A control module that fits into a standard flush-mounted switch box: three stacked circuit boards drive two 24 V shutter motors, read climate and distance sensors and show the status on a small display. End positions are detected purely from the motor's current profile — no limit switches.

Connects to Home Assistant via ESPHome and RS-485. What sets it apart: schematics, layouts and mechanics are generated by Python scripts and checked automatically — so the three boards can never drift apart.

Render of the PartySpot stand holding an iPad
Product design · 3D printing · Prototype

PartySpot stand

The hardware to go with the app: a portable stand for a 12.9″ iPad Pro — case included — and a mini projector. Power supplies and cables disappear inside the stand; only a single mains cable comes out. With carry handle and no visible screws.

Fully parametric CAD written in Python, photorealistically rendered in Blender and optimised into seven parts that print in about ten and a half hours.

Software-defined radio · Desktop

PhiloRadio

A real-time software-defined broadcast receiver for ordinary desktop computers: all signal processing runs in software, across multiple CPU cores and optionally on the GPU. Supports FM with RDS, analogue TV (PAL) and DVB-T.

Each broadcast standard is assembled from modules in an XML file; scalable modules adapt their quality to the available computing power so reception stays real-time. Born out of the PhD thesis at BTU Cottbus, re-released in 2026 as cross-platform version 1.0.

DTW Toolbox

Dynamic Time Warping for speech signals — as a standalone application. The focus is not on classification but on measuring the distance between two signals as a quality metric, e.g. in speech synthesis and speech and speaker recognition.

Nine features, 16 window types, nine distance measures and numerous local and global constraints; visualisation of the warping path and export of time-normalised WAV files. Originally written in MATLAB, now re-implemented in Python — with GUI and command line, no MATLAB licence required.
